Are there sponsorship opportunities available?
Absolutely. GIT provides many unique opportunities for sponsors. Since this may be New York’s largest community collaboration and public art project and may include upwards of 40,000 participants and 800,000 square feet of canvas,
Sponsor a Taxi! GIT provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for potential sponsors to connect and interact with NYC. You can choose to sponsor 1 taxi, 10 taxis, or 20 taxis.

How long will the taxis be covered with the artwork?
The panels will be placed on taxis from September 1, 2007 until December 31, 2007.
How is the city of New York involved?
New York City has approved Garden in Transit as a once in a hundred year opportunity. The project coincides with the city’s centennial celebration of the NYC metered taxi, Taxi ’07.
How many NYC taxis will be involved?
This is a volunteer project for taxi operators. We expect thousands!
How many square feet of vinyl will be needed?
With your help we may paint up to 800K square feet of vinyl! Do I have to be an artist to participate?
With Garden In Transit everyone’s an artist! We welcome everyone
to participate in visually transforming the city of New York.
What does volunteering with GIT entail?

Will GIT come to a hospital?
Working with and in hospitals is an integral part of the GIT mission.
If you have a hospital or in patient facility you would like GIT to
visit please contact us and we’ll be happy to arrange a session.
What ages do you work with?
We work with all ages although most participants are usually between
8 and 18.
Can adults participate?
Of course! We welcome adults to paint with us. If you have a group you
would like to organize or if you’re an individual who wants to
make their mark on NYC.
How do I get to the GIT studio?
Our Hotel Pennsylvania donated studio space in the heart of Mid-town
Manhattan, located on 149 W. 32nd St. You can find directions

Does GIT have special events?
We have hosted special events at our studio in the past and many more
are in the works. To stay up to date on our special events please join our mailing list.
